Hood Canal's 21st Century After School Program
Hood Canal School District and the 21st Century Community Learning Center have partnered together and will be offering exciting, engaging programs free of charge to Hood Canal Students from grades 1-8 starting into the fall and running through May. These programs will run Monday – Thursday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Transportation: The activity bus leaves at 5:00 p.m. Any students staying for the evening programs from 5:00 to 6:00 will need to be picked up. Children need to have a signed note before changing their transportation. Unless notified by parents, your child will take the same mode of transportation parents/guardians requested on the registration form. If there is more than one method of transportation your child takes, please specify that in the registration form as well.
Programs and Classes: We provide a nutritious snack, academic enrichment, homework help, tutoring services and other great clubs! Based on staff and student participation we are hoping to offer at various times throughout the year programs like Cooking, Lego Robotics, Yearbook, Cheer/Dance, Music, Zumba, Intramural Sports and more!
Our programs will be run in sessions based on grade level 1-2, 3-5 and 6-8. Some classes will be offered at multiple times throughout the year so that students get a chance to try different programs. Homework and tutoring help will be offered at all times.
Sign in: For safety, students will be required to sign in after school. Before leaving school, they will also be required to sign out. Students that do not participate in the after school programs will not be allowed to ride the Hood Canal Activity Buses.
