Builders Club

Welcome to the Builders Club Web Page!

Builders Club is a community service club for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students that focuses on developing leadership skills through planning and performing meaningful community service activities. It is sponsored by Kiwanis International and our local Kiwanis members are intricately involved in all Builders Club activities. By working together on activities that students are interested in, they experience the pleasure of making a difference at school, in their community, and in the world.

Students meet bimonthly to decide on and plan activities that reflect their interests.  In the past few years our Builders Club members have concentrated their efforts on helping children in hospitals, active duty soldiers, people experiencing hunger, frail seniors, and rescue animals in local sanctuaries.  Recent activities have included: planting and harvesting food for a local food bank, fundraising to eliminate tetanus through UNICEF's "Project Eliminate" , collecting toys for hospitalized children, visiting residents in assisted living facilities, and making a meal at a "soup kitchen".  Our hope is that participation in Builders Club will build a lifelong love of service.
