Kids building with Legos

At Hood Canal School, we are committed to providing a diverse range of extracurricular activities and clubs that cater to the varied interests and talents of our students. Our goal is to enrich the educational experience, foster personal growth, and build a strong sense of community. Here’s an overview of some of the exciting clubs and activities we offer:

  • Builders Club (Kiwanis Service Club): The Builders Club, sponsored by Kiwanis, is dedicated to community service and leadership. Students in this club engage in various service projects that benefit our school and local community, developing a sense of civic responsibility and compassion.

  • Drama Club: The Drama Club provides a creative outlet for students interested in acting, theater production, and stagecraft. Members work together to bring stories to life through performances, practicing skills like public speaking, teamwork, and self-expression. From acting to set design, the Drama Club offers a fun and supportive environment for students to explore all aspects of theater.

  • STEM/LEGO Club: The STEM/LEGO Club combines the excitement of building with LEGO bricks and the educational benefits of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Students collaborate on projects, solve problems, and explore innovative ideas, fostering creativity and critical thinking.

  • Robotics Club: The Robotics Club offers students the opportunity to dive into the world of robotics, where they design, build, and program robots. This hands-on club encourages problem-solving, teamwork, and technical skills, preparing students for future technological challenges and innovations.

  • Dungeons & Dragons Club: The Dungeons & Dragons Club offers a creative and imaginative space for students to engage in role-playing games. Participants develop storytelling skills, teamwork, and strategic thinking as they embark on epic adventures and quests in a collaborative setting.

  • Music Club: The Music Club provides an opportunity for students to explore their musical interests, whether through playing instruments, singing, or learning about music theory. This club encourages creativity, self-expression, and a love for music in a supportive environment.

  • Homework Club: The Homework Club offers a quiet and structured space for students to complete their homework and receive additional academic support. It’s a great resource for students who need extra help with their studies or a dedicated time and place to focus on their schoolwork.

  • Yearbook Club: The Yearbook Club is responsible for creating the annual yearbook, capturing the memories and highlights of the school year. Students involved in this club gain experience in photography, design, writing, and teamwork, producing a cherished keepsake for the school community.
