We utilize a variety of methods to keep families informed throughout the school year, including automated telephone updates, email, flyers, direct mail, Facebook®, and notifications through our new school app.
Communicating Concerns
If you have any concerns, please contact the classroom teacher or school principal as soon as possible. We will collaborate to create, implement, and monitor a plan to address the issue. We value your communication and encourage you to reach out with any questions, comments, or concerns. Please ensure your contact information is up-to-date to stay informed.

NEW School App
We encourage everyone to download our new school app to access school information and stay updated on the latest news. Download the app for free on the App Store or Google Play.
Report Cards and Conferences
Report cards and family-teacher conferences are scheduled throughout the school year. However, please address any student concerns as they arise. Contact your student’s teacher to schedule a meeting when needed.
Family Access Information Online
Hood Canal provides families with students in grades K-8 the ability to view their student’s grades and attendance information online. Visit our Skyward page or click on the "Skyward" button on our homepage to access this information. For more details or if you are new to Hood Canal School, please contact our office staff.
Photo Use
We enjoy including images of our students in school publications, on social media, and in our school’s yearbook. If for any reason you prefer your child’s photo not to be included, please request and complete an opt-out form annually. Forms are available in our school office.
