Lockers

Locker usage is a privilege, and lockers are the property of the Hood Canal School District. Students are expected to keep their lockers clean and free of inappropriate materials or items that could cause damage. Lockers may be inspected or searched by school officials at any time, without the student's permission or presence.

Guidelines for Locker Use

  1. Assigned Lockers:

    • Lockers are assigned to students for storing books and items needed at school.

    • Only school-issued locks are allowed on lockers. Failure to return the lock will result in a $10.00 fine.

  2. Security:

    • Do not share your locker combination or switch lockers with others without approval from an administrator or the teacher in charge of locker assignments.

    • For your protection, do not store valuables in your locker. The school is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

  3. Maintenance:

    • Report any locker problems immediately to the office or a custodian.

    • Keep backpacks, books, and personal items in the locker when not in use.

Food and Drinks

  1. Drinks:

    • Drinks kept in lockers must have a closable lid.

  2. Food:

    • Open food should be stored only in a lunch box and should not be left in the locker outside of designated eating times.

    • Students should only access their lockers for food or drinks during lunch or a designated break.
