How to Enroll

There are two ways to enroll your new student at Hood Canal School District: Online using Skyward New Student Online Enrollment (NSOE) OR by completing an enrollment packet and returning it to Hood Canal School using one of these three methods:

• Scan the documents and return them by email to Mary Cagle.

• Mail the completed packet to Hood Canal School District, 111 N State Route 106, Skokomish Nation, WA 98584

• Drop off the packet at the school with prior arrangements. Email Mary Cagle here.

Note: Students currently attending Hood Canal School District do not need to enroll for next school year.

Choice Transfers (students living outside our district)

Students living outside of our district and wishing to continue at Hood Canal to start at Hood Canal, must file a choice transfer request annually. Click here to access our Choice Transfer page to request a placement at Hood Canal for your child.

Accessing Our Online Student Enrollment System

If you already have a student enrolled at Hood Canal School District and you have a Skyward Family Access login, you can access your account here and enroll a new student.

If you are NEW to the district, you can request a temporary account for New Student Online Enrollment. Once you have submitted the request, you will receive an email with your account information and a link to the login page.

Most of the enrollment process can be completed online, however, you will need to print out and sign documents. After submitting your New Student Online Enrollment, you will receive an email on how to proceed.

Preschool and Transitional Kindergarten Enrollment

Parents of PreK students should contact our PreK teacher, Ms. Cathy Carlson, about enrollment qualifications and waitlist for these two programs.

Kindergarten Enrollment

• Children must be five years old prior to September 1st

• Proof of age documentation (birth certificate, passport or other government-issued documents with student's legal name and date of birth)

• Up-to-date Immunizations which are medically verified. See what is required and learn how to access your child's immunization records through the Department of Health here.

• Proof of residency in Hood Canal School District boundary (e.g. utility bill, rental agreement, etc.)

1st thru 8th Grade Enrollment
