The Hood Canal Boys Basketball team has wrapped up an unbelievable undefeated regular season, dominating their opponents with decisive wins in every game. From their relentless defense to lightning-fast breaks and consistent shooting, this team has proven they’re a force to be reckoned with. Their incredible performance has not only brought home victories but also unified our school and community with pride and excitement.
A special shoutout goes to Coaches Brian Howell and Patty Gouley, whose exceptional leadership and dedication have been instrumental in shaping this team. Their mentorship has helped build a culture of respect, perseverance, and teamwork, both on and off the court.
We’re especially proud to share that Hood Canal athletics, activities, and clubs are funded entirely through the Educational Programs & Operations (EP&O) levy. Thanks to this vital funding, students have the opportunity to participate in sports, clubs, and enrichment activities that support their growth, leadership, and teamwork skills. None of this would be possible without the ongoing support of our community.
The EP&O levy is up for renewal on the February 11 ballot. Community support helps sustain programs that give students the chance to learn, grow, and shine—both in the classroom and in activities like basketball. The EP&O levy ensures that our students can continue to benefit from these enriching opportunities that make a lasting impact on their lives.
We are deeply grateful for the generous backing of our community. Because of you, Hood Canal students have the resources they need to succeed and thrive.
