Summer school swim lessons at the Shelton YMCA are a big hit! Students are having fun and learning to swim. #ymca #swimmingfun #SwimLessonsforKids Shelton Family YMCA

Students in Ms. Gouley’s 5th grade wrapped up the year by reading the book, “Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes.” As they were reading, they set a goal to actually fold 1,000 paper cranes AND succeeded after folding their 1,000th paper crane the last week of school. The results were stunning and the activity truly bonded the class. The cranes were all sizes including a jumbo crane made by combining multiple pieces a paper.

School may be out, but our BOOTS outdoor education program is still going! This week they are hiking and camping at Ericson's Bay and Ozette Loop Trail. #outdooreducation #outdooradventures #hikingadventures #campingfun

Principal Torres was grilling up some delicious burgers and brats for staff after the students left on the last day of school. Yum!! 😋 He’s always serving others! #schoolprincipal #lastdayofschool #bbqtime

Before the end of the year, our 3rd graders continued the long tradition of handmaking a drum that they will bring with them through their career at Hood Canal and eventually decorate and take with them when they move on to high school. Family members assisted with this special project. The students were very proud of their results! #drummaking #drumart #tradition
