Sven-Erik Spichiger, Hood Canal Parent and Pest Program Manager for the WSDA, brought his incredible insect collection to our school and shared his vast knowledge and experience fighting invasive pests with our 7th and 8th grade students. Cell phones in school have been in the news recently. We are continuing our policy of not allowing the use of cell phones during school hours. Research has shown these devices distract from learning. Our students each have a laptop device, can get messages from their family through the office, and can use the office phone in case of emergency, so their phones are not needed.
